This is not my imagination, it is a fact. From morning until night, or from night until the morning, it is one long televised plight of vile comments about one politician or another; it is one bad joke by a bunch of women about another woman or it's a long and hateful string of names spewing out of red-haired man's quivering mouth. It is one commenatator after another voicing approval or disapproval of the way the government is doing this or doing that. Frankly, it is exhausing. But it is, afterall, freedom of speech and I am all for freedom of speech. Nonetheless, there are times when I must turn to King of the Hill to regain my perspective; there are times when I must force myself to watch a golf tournament without taking a break, so spellbound by the drama that I....oh, who am I kidding, I never watch golf. However, for a change, there is this guy on the animal channel who takes a long curved cane and walks into the lion's den daring the dark-maned Lion to attack. Oh, I do hope he does not go the way Timmy did, the guy who thought he could live and sleep with bears and ended up being the main entree of one of the island's grizzleys. Yes, there's always something to take one's mind off of Beck and President Obama. Did I metion Sarah Palin and Nancy Pelosi. Please, let me watch the English lady train the poodles not to poo poo on the davenport.
